Description

Marshall Farms is looking for a strategic thinker to represent the organization with current and prospective clients. We are looking for a professional, with customer service experience and some scientific knowledge of our industry. 

The Client Services Account Manager is an agent of Marshall BioResources and the main point of contact for our customers. 

Essential tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Personally and enthusiastically interact with customers on a daily basis to receive orders, process order revisions and cancellations, satisfy customer questions and complaints, meet special requirements, negotiate sales agreements, and exceed customer expectations. 
  • Embody the Marshall customer service philosophy which includes customer communication conducted with clarity, timeliness (within 24 hours of receipt), accuracy, use of professional language both written and verbal, and “smiling” with your voice. 
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of Marshall operations to confidently communicate with and support our customers.
  • Complete customer questionnaires as needed. 
  • Work with senior management to negotiate customer contracts or special agreements. 
  • Contacting prospective customers. 
  • Communicate and coordinate with multiple internal departments working on behalf of the customer to ensure that customer requirements are met, including order selection and transportation. 
  • Update databases and reports to ensure an accurate representation of the animal colonies. 
  • Plan and participate in customer visits and conferences as needed including onsite and those requiring travel. 
  • Track sales figures and customer complaints as needed; and report to senior management. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information 

Requirements

Competency Requirements:

Individual will be capable of working with various computer applications including Microsoft 365 products and Acumatica. Individual will be required to effectively and consistently perform above listed Essential Tasks. Individual will proficiently interact with cross-functional teams and possess good organizational skills and written and verbal communication skills. Individual will maintain thorough product knowledge and full understanding of the customer service philosophy and procedures of the company. Demonstrate the ability to be persuasive with customers, keeping “customer satisfaction” as a guiding factor. 

Leadership Requirements:

Individual will contribute to a productive and professional environment by setting a positive example and demonstrating enthusiasm, diligence, ethical behavior, taking responsibility for one’s actions and challenging themselves to continually improve.

Work Conditions:

Duties of this position are primarily performed indoors, Monday–Friday. Shifts varied from 830 AM to 5 PM. Hours may periodically fluctuate including requirement of after-hours or weekend work. Travel as required to attend conferences and support our customers. 

Physical Requirements:

Position is primarily an office position, but occasional time spent in the animal areas is expected. 

Mental Requirements:

Minimum mental requirements necessary to perform key tasks of job to include but not limited to effective interpersonal communication, maintain attention to detail and high level of accuracy, comprehension (oral & written), understanding interrelationships between processes/activities, ability to forecast and anticipate consequences to actions, ability to coordinate activities logically, problem solving, maintain confidentiality, work with constant interruptions, all while putting the needs of the customer first. 

Salary Information:

This position is a grade E1 with a salary range of $58,500 - $72,336 depending on experience
